Pinacoteche italiane is a series of seven volumes that shall offer the reader a rich and articulated compendium of masterworks from the most important picture galleries in Italy, organized chronologically and by schools.
The paintings will be shown by means of sumptuous colour reproductions and discussed in essays written by art historians of great importance. The first volumes are dedicated to the Galleries of Rome and to the Pinacoteca di Brera (Brera Picture Gallery), including the most recent acquisitions.
